<p>An upside  of technology is that it allows us to be more efficient and productive. The &nbsp;smart mobile phones&nbsp;  of today can send and receive text messages, play music, access the Internet, tell you where you are on the planet (which you might should know anyway), locate and navigate to destinations, play &nbsp;apps&nbsp;  with friends in other states or around the world, allow you to pay bills  and do your banking , check the weather , and with the proper applications, trade stocks and open or close your garage door from anywhere on the globe. Oh, your smart phone can also make an old fashioned phone call, too.</p>

<p><strong>* Take the steps instead of the elevator</strong>. Or the escalator. Walking is great. Climbing stairs is even better. It uses a different set of muscles. Think of the steps you take climbing stairs as &#8220;extra credit&#8221; on your 10,000 step plan. It will boost your heart rate and help strengthen your core .</p>
<p><strong>* If your job requires you to sit at a desk, stop and stretch</strong>. God didn&#8217;t design us to sit for 40+ hours a week. We were meant to be active. Find one that allows you to sit at the proper angle at your desk (Tennis and racquet balls are not adequate). It looks goofy and quite unconventional at first, but by sitting on an exercise ball you force yourself to balance. This improves your core strength while you work. It also forces your body into a better and more healthy posture.&nbsp;</p>
