Fell better about yourself.

Recently I decided to go on a diet. I felt the need to get back into shape and to start feeling better about myself. I’m in my mid 30′s and just recently got out of bad marriage. During this marriage my stress level was absolutely unbelievable. All this stress was caused by the fact of we fought all the time which led to me letting myself go a little bit which obviously didn’t help the situation.

So I went and scouted out the local gyms to see which one was the best for me. I found the one closest to my house that had the class schedule that I wanted. Now, I got to tell you. Personally I’m the person that when I have a goal, I need a lot of reminders right in my face. Some of the ways I did this was I ordered a few yard signs to plant between my home and my car that’s always in my face. I ordered some decal stickers with my preferred weight I wanted to get back to that I stuck around my home. I even got a magnetic sign to put on the fridge to deter me whenever I got hungry.

The weight I’m shooting for is one hundred and ninety pounds.   Currently I’m six foot tall and 240 pounds. So far I’m two months into my workout regiment of 3 cardio workouts a week and 2 strength training sections a week. I also go for morning and evening jogs on the weekend in my own time. With a very strict diet, with one night every week I get to eat something that I like as a cheater night. So far I have lost 30 pounds, just within two months. 20 pounds from my target weight.

Luckily the strength training while doing the cardio to burn the calories and fat, I’ve been building mass and form.   So my target weight may change a bit if I get to the point to where I’m happy with myself if my muscle mass put on won’t allow me to hit my old target weight, but I’ve still got a little ways to go yet!
